In February, an introductory mission to Asia took place as part of Incoming President Eric Bienvenue’s ongoing orientation to Canada Beef. The 12-day mission included stops in the four countries that are the largest export destinations for Canadian beef in Asia—Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Read More



Veal Farmers of Ontario (VFO) recently announced this year’s VFO Board of Director’s Award winner. Michael Young, outgoing President of Canada Beef, was recognized for his many contributions to the Canadian red meat industry and specifically for his support of the Ontario veal sector. Outgoing Canada Beef President Michael Young participated in his final Market Development and Promotion Committee (MDPC) meeting in Mississauga on March 27, before officially retiring from his role the next day. Read More

The Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence (CBCE) team participated in an Open House at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with the Culinary Arts and Butchery program on March 9, 2024. The event, which featured a fun competition, allowed prospective students interested in the hospitality and meat-cutting trades to see the program in action. CBCE was there to support skills development and student interest in professional cooking and retail meat-cutting trades. Read More
