 After a four-year absence due to the COVID pandemic, the 2023 edition of ExpoCarnes y Lácteos exhibition (Meat and Dairy Trade Fair), organized by the Mexican Meat Council, took place in the City of Monterrey from February 21 to 23.   Canada Beef was pleased to host Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau at its Calgary headquarters on March 13. The Minister toured the newly renovated Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence (CBCE) and received a detailed overview about the enhanced technical capabilities of the CBCE studios and boardroom from Mathieu Paré, CBCE executive director, and Cameron Pappel, the Centre’s Culinary and Innovation Manager, pictured here with Minister Bibeau. |

This past winter, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) launched a public consultation on the development of a “pan-Canadian school food policy” and invited interested Canadians to share their views about what a national approach to school food programs could look like.
