Sit back and let your taste buds engage while watching this delicious prime rib roast rotate before your eyes. This festive feast for your eyes was produced by the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence. Entertaining with Beef We know that this year our holiday festivities will be reimagined—some more intimate, others virtual but the importance of a special meal will still be central to our celebrations. Whether you are planning a special dinner for two or a holiday meal for the family under your roof you can find tips, recipes and ideas for celebrating the holiday with Canadian beef online at entertaining with beef. The big dinner may be a little smaller this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t serve something decadent and delicious. This year we’ve worked with three influencers to highlight our Beef Wellington recipe. Check out the #mycanadianbeef media page over the next couple of weeks to read their articles. Beef Calendar We created a Beef Lover Calendar for 2021 for beef fans everywhere! It’s not a recipe calendar but instead, each month is a collection of fun and remarkable fun beefy facts and trivia with links to recipes and serving suggestions. In addition to the calendar circulation, social posts of 72 pieces of creative used in the calendar were developed for use in Canada Beef digital and social programming. This content will be shared throughout 2021. A limited print run of the calendars were made available provincially to regional grass roots marketing efforts through stakeholder outreach such as independent butcher operators and stakeholder AGM memberships. To date, 2500 calendars were printed and distributed through the following programming: Saskatchewan Farm & Food Care Building Cultivating Trust Conference Attendee Package (dietitians, culinary professionals, media). Farm & Food Care/Royal Winter Fair Food and Nutrition Forum attendees (health professionals, nutrition students, culinary professionals). Beef Farmers of Ontario Butcher Program, and AGM attendees. Nova Scotia beef stakeholders. New Brunswick Cattle Producers. Atlantic Beef Processors. Inclusion in Canada Beef retailer point of sale kit orders. Saskatchewan Cattlemen. Canada Beef and NCO staff and Board. We are reviewing the opportunity for a second print run to make calendars available (at cost) at the new Beef Pride E-store, launching shortly.
