 Brain Health webinar uptake spurs expanded offering Canada Beef sponsored a very successful Brain Health Webinar in April 2023, featuring Registered Dietitian Doug Cook speaking about the importance of nutrition on brain and mental health. The webinar had more than 1,500 views; you can read more about that event here. The feedback following the webinar was very positive. The audience expressed interest in a follow-up webinar, noting they had many more questions. The Canada Beef team organized a second webinar to meet the demand for this information; this second event had almost 1,000 views. This webinar series on brain health has garnered a great deal of interest. The information was featured in a segment on Global News, with a reach of 145,000. McGill University requested a copy of the webinar, which they have made part of their undergraduate nutrition program. To date, 65 students have watched both webinars. Osteoporosis Canada asked to host the same webinar for their members, which took place on September 27, 2023.  CanfitPro is the largest provider of education in the Canadian fitness industry. They included the Canada Beef article about the webinar in their member publication, distributed to 115,000 members. They also created an Instagram reel video sharing key messages and highlighting the article. The information has become part of their continuing education program, and members can obtain education credits when they read the article and then take a quiz. Given the interest in this subject, brain health has been added as a dedicated subject page to the thinkbeef.ca website. The page features key messages from the webinar. Feedback from the webinar included a request for a recipe booklet. Canada Beef’s team developed a resource to meet that need which can be found here.
