CBCE at National Culinary Federation conference The Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence (CBCE) participated in the Culinary Federation (CF) National Conference held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan June 12 – 16, 2022. The multi-day event included a conference, trade show, culinary competition and networking event. CBCE’s partnership with the CF leveraged this conference opportunity to network with Canadian hospitality and foodservice professionals and stay current with trends and issues that impact the Canadian and international foodservice industries. The event provided the CBCE team with the opportunity to present new foodservice learning solutions to culinary educators, distributors and young leaders. During the conference, CBCE presented four new courses to 13 culinary educators and enrolled 23 high-performing students in CBCE online courses. The conference provided a forum to engage with members around labour and training issues for operators and have robust conversations about post-COVID recovery. The CBCE fosters a strong working relationship with the CF to promote Canadian beef marketing resources, CBCE learning solutions and opportunities to connect with the Centre of Excellence through webinars. This partnership also allowed the CBCE team to promote the Canada Beef Award for Culinary Excellence to culinary instructors and students. This award is administered by the CBCE and recognizes students excelling in Canadian beef butchery and cooking and that demonstrate commitment to working with Canadian beef.
