 Canadian Beef Advantage online training evolution The Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence (CBCE) now offers educational content related to the Canadian Beef Advantage (CBA) via new online video courses. These courses enhance value for stakeholders by delivering efficient and effective training to industry professionals. The beef category is complex, and it’s important that representatives selling Canadian beef have the technical knowledge to help their customers make the right beef purchase decisions for their business. The new CBA videos share information related to Canada’s high-quality beef production operations and systems. The new programming is immersive, entertaining, and interactive, with live-action video, animation and multiple-choice quizzes to challenge learner knowledge. Topics include: Canada’s cow/calf system with information about how beef cattle are raised in Canada, along with markets and distribution for Canadian beef. Feeding operations highlighting the feeding practices that support the production of high-quality, grain-fed beef. The Canadian beef processing system from animal welfare and food safety to market trends and global demand. In addition to videos covering CBA topics, CBCE recently launched a video course on beef margins for the foodservice industry. This course covers profit and cost analysis and the positive benefits of incorporating high-quality, high-value Canadian beef products on menus. CBCE Executive Director Mathieu Paré said the training programs position Canada Beef as a leader in Canadian beef industry education with a special emphasis on product attribute knowledge, technical applications as well as producer, processor, and regulatory practices. “They strengthen the competitive edge of industry professionals by offering comprehensive training in the complex and dynamic Canadian beef industry,” he added.
