De-bunking myths about beef
As part of our ongoing commitment to addressing concerns and building trust and confidence in how Canadian beef is raised, Canada Beef, the Beef Farmers of Ontario, and Public and Stakeholder Engagement partnered with Media Planet to create a media campaign called ‘The Untold Stories of Canadian Beef’.

A double-page spread was printed in the May 5, 2021, National Post newspaper (financial section) and on the website Campaign Landing Page. With support from Ducks Unlimited Canada, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Ontario beef farmer Sandra Vos and Registered Dietitian Carol Harrison, the three articles aim to debunk common misconceptions surrounding beef consumption as well as provide awareness for the latest advancements and sustainable practices in farming and ranching.

The insert was included in the National Post with 694,000 readers. It was also distributed digitally through Innovatingcanada.ca which received 45,260 page views/month. There were 7,500 targeted page views including targeted digital ads along with 50,000 targeted video views.
