 The newest phase of the Canadian Beef Information Gateway launched in March. The Restaurant Gateway (Gateway) is an online hub dedicated to celebrating Canada’s high-quality beef and the farmers and ranchers who produce it. This comprehensive resource includes a list of restaurant chains promoting Canadian beef on their menus, and insights into the restaurant industry’s impact on local communities. Gateway visitors can explore engaging videos from beef producers and chefs from across the country, that highlight their dedication to Canadian beef. The Gateway will also house the Best Canadian Beef Dishes Contest running from March to November 30, 2025. The contest encourages diners, restaurant chefs and restaurant owners to nominate their favourite Canadian beef dishes across the country. A list of nominated restaurants for each province will be available in time. Each provincial winner will advance to a national finale. To nominate, visit enjoy.cdnbeef.ca and complete the nomination form. Canada Beef Director, Consumer Promotions, Kelly Hyde, said the contest allows Canadians an opportunity to champion their most-loved beef dishes. “The Gateway helps users discover and enjoy Canadian beef at their favourite local restaurants,” she said. The Gateway initiative includes a restaurant window decal that Canada Beef plans to distribute to 5,000 restaurants across the country. These decals further highlight the importance of supporting local restaurants and Canadian beef.   Under the contest, a winning restaurant from each province will be chosen, with each provincial champion advancing to the national finale. Provincial winners will receive a prize pack valued at $1,000, and the national winner will take home a grand prize valued at $5,000.
