Canadian Beef Restaurant Workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam
Canada Beef International Institute (CBII) Taiwan, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong offices joined forces with a Canadian beef supply partner and major import client in Vietnam to present a Canadian beef restaurant workshop. The Taste of Canada workshop took place in Hanoi, Vietnam, on October 15, 2024. This project was supported under CBII’s Export Market Development cost-sharing program.

The event aimed to raise awareness of Canadian beef in the foodservice and restaurant industry. The event also offered the opportunity to introduce a well-known Canadian beef brand via social media to Vietnamese consumers for the first time. More than 80 food industry guests, including restaurant owners, beef distributors and media influencers, participated in the event. Guests had a chance to learn about the advantages of Canadian beef from the supplier presentations, and taste the outstanding flavour of Canadian beef prepared by a professional chef. Media posts on Facebook and an article in an online magazine promoted the supplier’s Canadian beef brand.



The event achieved strong engagement, garnering 14,000 views and likes within one week, while product sales also saw impressive results, with revenue increasing by over 140% in just five days.
