 Restaurant Gateway celebrates Canadian beef at foodservice Visitors to Canada Beef’s Restaurant Gateway will find a wealth of information about the restaurant industry and Canadian beef cuts. From the "Story on Steak" video series, to insights and videos from cattle producers and professional chefs from across the country visitors can discover the role of the beef industry in supporting businesses and communities.  The Restaurant Gateway also features the Best Canadian Beef Dishes Contest, which has been running since the site launched in March and will close on November 30, 2025. There is still time to participate. By nominating your favorite restaurant’s beef dish, you could win a $200 VISA gift card. Whether it's from your go-to burger joint or beloved steakhouse, this is your chance to support a local eatery and celebrate what makes Canadian beef great. Diners can vote for their favourite dishes and restaurant owners and chefs can self-nominate so, when dining out, please encourage restaurant staff to enter their best beef dishes. Once the contest closes, a winner will be selected from each province, and those individuals will compete in the national grand finale. To date, nearly 1,200 entries have been received.
