 Canada Beef in collaboration with Canadian Bison and Canada Pork, successfully completed participation in SIAL Paris 2022, one of the world's leading trade fairs for the food industry. A combined Canadian meat pavilion was organized in the show’s dedicated meat industry hall where many Canadian beef, bison and pork suppliers co-exhibited and presented their products to prospective buyers.   Canada Beef President Michael Young and Executive Director, Export Market Development Albert Eringfeld, along with Executive Director, Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence Mathieu Paré attended the international food industry show, held in Paris, France October 15-19, 2022. Meetings with many new and existing beef buyers from throughout the world took place during the five-day show. Some 7,000 exhibitors presented over 400,000 products to 265,000 professional attendees from over 127 countries at SIAL Paris 2022, the first in-person event the famed show has held since 2018. Members of the Canada Beef team were on hand in the Canada Beef section of the pavilion to provide show attendees with information on Canadian beef, discuss promotion and marketing support available from Canada Beef, provide samples of Canadian beef to prospective buyers and to help facilitate meetings with co-exhibiting Canadian beef suppliers.   Canadian beef, among some of the best in the world, is known for its delicious flavour, tenderness and juiciness. Canadian producers take great pride and care to raise cattle using environmentally sustainable practices combined with world-class food safety and quality assurance systems. Participation in SIAL is just one example of Canada Beef’s ongoing efforts to promote the Canadian beef brand internationally and to secure new business relationships for Canadian beef worldwide.
