Canadian beef featured in new Tim Hortons Steak and Egg Breakfast Sandwich
Who doesn’t love steak and eggs for breakfast, especially when it involves 100 per cent Canadian beef?

The new Tim Hortons Steak and Egg Breakfast Sandwich features 100 per cent Canadian seasoned beef that is free of artificial flavours, preservatives, or colours and is sourced right here at home.

Canada Beef supported this initiative by supplying Canadian Beef short videos from its social media collection (an Alberta ranching family is featured in the news release), as well as sourcing French and English speaking beef producers for the campaign’s television commercials. The Canadian Beef brand mark is featured in the video and the commercials, and in point of sale materials.

“Canadian beef farmers and ranchers raise some of the best beef in the world and we are very proud that Tim Hortons is featuring it in the new Steak and Egg Breakfast Sandwich,” said Rod Koning, executive director, channel marketing for Canada Beef.

Launched this month, as part of the Tims for Good sustainability platform, the promotion draws attention to the quality beef produced on Canadian farms and ranches.

Canada Beef Vocational Scholarship
Canada Beef has partnered with six accredited schools in Canada teaching retail meat cutting and butchery programs. Working with the Canadian Professional Meat Cutters Association (CPMCA), Canada Beef has created an award in support of students enrolled in these programs.

“Canada Beef is investing in a strong future for the Canadian beef industry by working with CPMCA to promote the retail meat cutting and butchery trades,” said Rod Koning, executive director, channel marketing, Canada Beef.

One award is offered per program and the recipient is chosen by program faculty members. The award focuses on exemplary students who have demonstrated commitment and passion for these trades. Academic merit is also taken into consideration.

Members of the Canada Beef team will provide presentations and cutting demonstrations promoting the Canadian Beef Advantage to each class, as COVID-19 restrictions allow. Canada Beef will also provide beef merchandising guides, food safety and grading information to each student enrolled in the program.

The CPMCA is a not-for-profit organization committed to offering the highest quality educational information that fulfils the goals and expectations of those whom it serves. To learn more about these programs or the CPMCA please visit their website at meatforce.ca.
