 Canada Beef is pleased to announce the appointment of Rod Koning to the position of Executive Director, Channel Marketing for Canada Beef. Koning will be responsible for developing the retail and foodservice channels across Canada. Before joining Canada Beef, Koning was Vice President, Meat & Seafood Procurement for Loblaw Companies Limited—Canada’s largest food retailer. Koning spent the majority of his career with Loblaw’s, joining one of their subsidiaries in the late 80’s and rising through the ranks in a number of managerial roles before becoming Vice President in 2011. With more than thirty years experience in the retail meat business, Koning brings his background in meat cutting, expertise in retail meat merchandising along with his focus on customer experience and commitment to continuous improvement to Canada Beef.
