 Grilling and Barbecue demand-building resources Canada Beef continues to develop solutions to increase category growth and profitability. The Channel Marketing team recently launched two new demand-building resources for retail meat departments—the Fresh Canadian Beef Grilling Guide and Fresh Canadian Beef Barbecue Guide. These resources highlight fresh beef cuts ideal for the grill and outdoor smoker enthusiasts. “The Fresh Canadian Beef Grilling and Barbecue Guides are great additions to the demand-building series,” said Rod Koning, executive director, channel marketing, Canada Beef. “These guides are designed to provide inspiration and suggestions for specific cuts that can help build sales and profitability for retailers.”  The Fresh Canadian Beef Grilling Guide features 16 cuts, four each under the headings Traditional Favourites, Underdeveloped Performers, Steakhouse Superstars and East Meats West. The focus is on cuts for the grill ranging from classic steaks to ribs and marinating steaks.  The Fresh Canadian Beef Barbecue Guide also features 16 cuts suitable for barbecue under the headings Grill Pro Specialties, Rotisserie Inspirations, Sensational Skewers, Churrasco and Kebobs, and Pit Boss Superstars. “These cuts offer many barbecue choices from rotisserie roasts and beef cubes for skewers as well as cuts that are ideal for smoking,” noted Koning. These are just a few of the programs created by the Channel Marketing team to support Canadian retailers. “With more Canadians cooking and eating at home these days, we need to work with retail chains to assist their consumers in finding meal solutions that include Canadian beef,” said Koning.
