 The countdown for the Canadian Beef Industry Conference (CBIC) 2023 is on, with just 10 days to go before the festivities commence at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park in Calgary. The Canada Beef team looks forward to connecting with producers and stakeholders during what’s sure to be another action-packed industry conference August 14-17, 2023. To make it easy for you, here are the spaces and places where you can find us at CBIC 2023. Canada Beef’s celebratory luncheon in honour of the 50th anniversary of beef marketing activities in Canada and abroad takes place from noon to 1 pm on Tuesday, August 15. This special event is included in your CBIC registration. Come and break bread over a plate of delicious Canadian beef and enjoy an engaging retrospective presented by Canada Beef President Michael Young. Connect with us at the Canada Beef booth at the tradeshow, where you can learn about and experience some of the team’s latest consumer and retail resources, videos, and promotional items. We are of course also on the agenda of the Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency annual general meeting (AGM) on August 15. The CBIC is the meeting place for the Canadian beef industry. It is a collaboration of the Beef Cattle Research Council, Canada Beef, Canadian Beef Breeds Council, Canadian Cattle Association and National Cattle Feeders Association. In addition to hosting information updates and regular business meetings of various industry organizations, CBIC features speakers and programming of relevance to stakeholders. This year, CBIC features Brian Burke, NHL Leader, Community Activist and Philanthropist, an opening keynote with Cherie Copithorne-Barnes, and a closing keynote from Diana Rodgers, RD, nutritionist and sustainability advocate and host of the Sustainable Dish Podcast.
