 Canadian beef promotion at YATA Supermarkets in Hong Kong YATA is a local Japanese-style supermarket with 12 stores located in Hong Kong. Their customers are daily shoppers looking for high-quality fresh food. Canada Beef and YATA are long-time partners and recently completed another Canadian beef fair, held March 14 – 20, 2023. Six Canadian beef items were promoted during the event including short ribs, strip loin, rib eye, chuck eye roll, top blade and hanging tender. YATA advertised the promotion through their app, on their website, Facebook pages and in-store point-of-sale materials. In-store sampling supported the promotion and introduced Canadian beef to consumers. A successful event, Canadian beef sales grew 203% during the promotion compared to the non-promotional period, demonstrating consumer interest in purchasing Canadian beef. This type of promotion offers an opportunity to enhance awareness of Canadian beef, build sales among consumers in Hong Kong, and work with loyal supplier partners and end-users.
