Beef merchandise puts positive messaging about beef on the street The Beef Pride eStore offers promotional items branded with the Canadian Beef logo or The One & Only Beef branding as a grassroots marketing effort to get positive messages about beef out on the street. Products range from clothing and hats (adult and child sizes available) to barbecue tools and beef-centric kitchen tools, all featuring a pro-beef message or brand support. The merchandise has proven to be popular across the country. It also supports Canada Beef and related organizations with readily available contest prizes and fulfillment. Over the past year, promotions with the Beef Pride eStore included a sampling program that brought traffic to the Canada Beef booths at the Canadian Beef Industry Conference and Maritime Beef Council events. Attendees dropping by the Canada Beef booth at these events received a promotional item when they completed 3 tasks—signed up to subscribe to the Canada Beef Performs and Make it Beef Club newsletters, and took a tour through the Canadian Beef Information Gateway. Other promotions included highlighting a product in each issue of the Make it Beef e-newsletter, a Wave Your Flag promotion in Canada Beef Performs e-newsletter and a free shipping offer for the Christmas holiday season. Beef producer Tina Zakowsky shared her son’s Grade 6 graduation picture wearing the Keep Calm Graze On shirt on Instagram. And an Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada representative was excited to see Beef Pride goods at the Canada Beef booth at the Maritime Beef Conference. “I don’t know of any company or stores … where we could purchase cattle/livestock industry-related swag to show our pride in our industry. I am so proud to be involved in the beef research…and I can’t wait to start wearing it (my beef pride shirt) at work and out in the community…” Canada Beef’s barbecue partner for 2023-2024, The Big Green Egg Canada loved the Beef Pride eStore merchandise so much they are planning to promote it on their own e-store site.
