![]() Baby at the Table campaign Canada Beef partnered with two expert pediatric Registered Dietitians (RDs) to highlight ‘Baby at the Table’ resources. The goal is to educate parents that beef is an ideal first food for babies starting at age six months due to beef’s natural iron richness. The campaign also highlighted that the healthiest approach is to treat meal occasions as a family affair, with parents and children eating one meal adapted for all. To promote this, the RD’s developed two beef family-friendly recipes: Sumac Beef and Caramelized Onions and Sofrito Beef, Beans, and Rice. These two recipes were shared during the month of March to coincide with Nutrition Month. The campaign included social media posts, email blasts and blog posts. Overall engagement was 72,500 plus views. The campaign reminded parents of the importance of iron for their children’s development. Infants' iron needs are higher than those of grown men, so focusing on serving iron-rich foods is critical to meeting these requirements.
