 New staff announcement - Vietnam Canada Beef is increasing its presence and marketing and promotions support in Vietnam. A new position of Marketing Manager Vietnam was created to support these efforts and Canada Beef is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ms. Pham Thi Quynh Nhu (Katie) to the position. Located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Pham brings seven years of experience working in the Vietnamese meat industry, primarily in the imported meat category, with an emphasis on merchandising, sales support and new project development. Vietnam continues to grow as an important export destination for Canadian beef. In 2022 Vietnam was the fifth largest Canadian beef export destination reaching 15,753 MT, an increase of 32.7% vs 2021 with a value of CAD $129.5 million, up 56% from 2021. Vietnam is Canada’s largest beef export market in the Southeast Asia region. Under the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) free trade agreement, all Canadian beef enters Vietnam tariff free. Canada has market access to Vietnam for all beef products; the majority of Canadian beef imported is frozen.
