![]() Health Professionals increase use of protein resources For the past several years, Canada Beef has partnered with Inzio Engage for the distribution of beef and health educational materials through their Sample Cupboard. While the number of orders has grown steadily, the 2024-2025 fiscal year marked a record, with almost 750,000 brochures distributed vs. 400,000 in the prior fiscal. This 81% increase was driven by the addition of two extremely popular topics: Iron and Pregnancy and Eat Well, Age Well, a brochure highlighting the importance of quality protein for healthy aging. This program provides direct access to healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals such as Nurse Practitioners, as well as indirect access to patients when they are offered these materials during a clinic visit. Doctors’ offices order from a selection of health brochures featured in the Sample Cupboard catalogue. When patients receive health information with positive messages about beef from their doctor’s office, beef benefits from the credibility a third-party delivery confers. The high numbers of unsolicited orders speak to the value delivered through this program. It is a cost-effective way to reach a large number of health-conscious Canadian consumers who could benefit from incorporating beef into their diet. Canada Beef is adding pharmacists to the list of health professionals who have access to the program. Back to main page ![]() KARINE REKUNYK Director, Health and Nutrition |
