Consumers prefer Canadian beef, the Canadian Beef brand mark helps them find it
Canada Beef recently asked Canadians about their purchasing preferences regarding beef origins in retail and foodservice settings:

In both channels, Canadian beef is preferred by consumers, and this preference is exceptionally strong at retail.

Canada Beef can help organizations showcase their support for Canadian farmers and ranchers while leveraging established consumer preferences through using the Canadian Beef brand mark on their products.

Associating the Canadian Beef brand mark with beef products helps to visually differentiate the product offering to Canadian consumers at point-of-purchase, be it in the aisle of their favourite grocery store or on-menu at their favourite restaurant.

Canada Beef Senior Director of Channel Marketing Shelby VanSickle noted that Canada Beef recognizes the Canadian Beef brand mark's ability to positively impact consumers’ purchase decisions. Canada Beef welcomes new brand partners in this important initiative and asks interested parties to reach out.

“Highlighting the Canadian Beef Advantage for consumers is a win for stakeholders, and we are keen to grow our list of brand partners moving forward,” she said.

VanSickle also suggested watching for the future development of other programs and resources to recognize brand partners (e.g., online partner showcase, etc.).
