Burger it Forward back for third year
Burger It Forward, a giveback initiative created by Canada’s beef farmers and ranchers, is gearing up for a three-peat in 2025. With the 2025 campaign set to launch to on February 1, Burger It Forward organizers are more determined than ever to achieve a record number of participating restaurants before the recruitment drive winds down later this month.

The goal is to surpass the 199 participating restaurant-mark achieved in 2024. As this newsletter went to press, 203 restaurants across the country have signed up for the 2025 promotion. This final push follows a busy restaurant recruitment outreach effort this fall that involved all 2024 restaurant partners and more than 435 new restaurants.

The Burger it Forward campaign strives to support community restaurants and Canadian ground beef supply, while raising funds for food banks at local, regional and national levels. The 2024 campaign raised more than $67,000 for food banks and sold more than 59,000 burgers at 199 participating restaurants across Canada.

There is still time to sign up but interested parties need to act quickly. Restaurants can learn more about the campaign and sign up at burgeritforward.ca, and readers can ask their favourite local burger joint to get on board and help their local community. Readers can also send their favourite restaurants to Joyce Parslow, Canada Beef’s Executive Director of Consumer Marketing, and she will contact the restaurant about participation in the Burger it Forward campaign.
