Canada Beef at Seoul Canada Day
Canada Beef International Institute (CBII) Korea supported the 2026 Canada Day Celebration, held July 2 at Banyan Tree Club and Spa Seoul. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea hosted the event in partnership with the Embassy of Canada to the Republic of Korea, bringing together about 130 guests, including government officials, business leaders, and distinguished representatives from both Canada and Korea, to celebrate the strong relationship between the two countries.

For the occasion, CBII Korea provided Canadian short ribs and tenderloin. The premium beef was featured in dishes prepared by the event's culinary team, showcasing the exceptional quality and versatility of Canadian beef.

Guests responded enthusiastically to the menu, praising the rich flavour, tenderness, and premium quality of the Canadian beef dishes. The event gave attendees an excellent opportunity to experience the distinctive characteristics of Canadian beef and reinforced its appeal as a high-quality protein choice.

CBII Korea remains committed to promoting Canadian beef in the Korean market through strategic partnerships, industry events, and culinary collaborations, continuing to build awareness and appreciation of Canadian beef among foodservice professionals and consumers.

Canadian beef connects with Japan’s culinary community
On July 13, 2026, CBII Japan participated in the Japan Chefs Association Annual Meeting, which included a networking reception and trade show, in Tokyo. The event welcomed 175 chefs and foodservice professionals from across Japan, providing an excellent opportunity to engage directly with members of the country’s culinary and hospitality industries. Canadian beef was featured in dishes served during the reception and sampled at the CBII Japan trade show booth. Attendees could watch the beef being prepared, taste it, and learn how to incorporate it into restaurant and foodservice menus. This hands-on experience highlighted the flavour and quality of Canadian beef.

The booth also provided a setting for discussions with chefs, purchasing professionals and other industry representatives. The CBII Japan team shared information about Canadian beef and exchanged ideas on menu development, product use and potential business opportunities. These conversations offered insights into current foodservice needs, strengthened existing relationships, and introduced Canadian beef to new culinary professionals.

CBII Japan will continue to engage with chefs and foodservice professionals through industry events and culinary activities, supporting greater awareness and opportunities for Canadian beef in the Japanese market.
