 The Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency (Agency) welcomed new leadership at its 2022 AGM in Penticton. Jeff Smith was elected Agency Chair by acclamation. Russ Mallard was elected Chair of the Market Development and Promotion (MDP) Committee by acclamation. Steve Christie was elected committee Vice-Chair and Jack Chaffe was elected committee Finance chair by acclamation. Canada Beef President Michael Young looks forward to continued collaboration with a diverse and highly skilled committee. He thanked outgoing MDP Committee chair Mike Kennedy for his leadership and contributions to the committee over the years. “Mike has served on the Agency board since July 2011, reflecting a considerable personal commitment to the industry,” Young stated. Canada Beef also welcomed new members to the 2022-2023 MDP Committee: former Agency chair Chad Ross, along with Jeff Cline, Clay Holmes and Cam Daniels. The new MDP Committee is as follows: Elected: Clay Holmes, Intercity Packers Cam Daniels, Harmony Beef Mike Guest, Western Prime Meat Processors Cameron Blake, Maple Leaf Foods Jack Chaffe, Beef Farmers of Ontario Chad Ross, Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association Appointed: Russ Mallard, Atlantic Beef Products Andre Forget, Montpak Jeff Cline, Cargill John Curtis, St. Helen's Meat Packers Stephen Christie, Sysco Coral Manastersky, Maple Leaf Foods Jennifer Haley, Veal Farmers of Ontario Back to main page |
