Think you know beef? New resource launched
Canada Beef’s Health and Nutrition team recently updated the 20 Reasons to #lovecdnbeef engagement tool. This resource was created for use in educational sessions (e.g., farm tour bus engagement) or to engage attendees at a booth at health professional and conference/consumer trade shows.

The updated resource focuses on nutrition, featuring some of the most interesting (and surprising) statistics and facts about beef’s nutritional profile. The infographic is paired with a quiz and a banner for events.

Now called “Beef-Full of Surprises,” the updated facts include:
  • A new metric about the increasing rates of anemia in Canada among women of childbearing age.
  • That creatine is only found in animal-sourced foods.
  • The protein density of beef vs. a plant protein in reference to GLP-1 use.
  • Statistics about the number of adults not consuming the minimum recommended intakes of protein in Canada.
  • A new visual showing beef’s nutrient content.
  • A comparison of red meat intake in Canada vs. three countries in the Mediterranean.
  • A fact about seniors’ increased protein needs.
In addition to the facts, the infographic includes the scientific references for each statement.

The infographic in PDF format is available here. You can order the accompanying quiz and banner from Canada Beef’s Marketing library. For more information, please contact [email protected]
