![]() Canada Beef is pleased to be on the receiving end of $3.7 million in federal funding to promote high-quality Canadian beef and veal to international markets as well as for market expansion and diversification initiatives. Announced by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Minister Heath MacDonald during the Calgary Stampede, the investment through the Agri-Marketing Program, under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, will be used over two years (2026-2028). At the news conference, Canada Beef President Eric Bienvenue thanked Minister MacDonald for funding global export market development initiatives for Canadian beef and veal. “Market diversification has never mattered more,” he said. “This agreement allows Canada Beef to build and sustain loyalty to Canadian beef with consumers on every continent.” Bienvenue said the investment will also strengthen Canada’s industry and economy, hold the social fabric of rural communities together, and protect the agricultural lands entrusted to Canada’s cattle producers. “We are proud of the delicious, high-quality, nutrient-dense food we raise and provide to consumers. And we are proud to have the Federal Government standing with us as we bring Canadian beef to the world.” Submitted by Gina Teel, Director, Stakeholder Communications Back to main page |
