The opportunity to connect with the front-end of the Canadian beef supply chain provided our group a deeper appreciation for what goes into raising great quality beef. Equally important was the passion demonstrated by the many people committed to producing this quality. Through innovative idea exchange at the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence we were able to explore many inspirational menu options. A great experience!
Competitive pressures continue to force innovation, and based on feedback from my group’s two-day exposure to the programs and services provided by the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence, I can confidently say that we are better informed and more equipped to meet the needs of our customers growing demands. We truly appreciate the attention to detail provided by all centre staff as well as their ability to craft an agenda that fully aligned to our strategy and core values.

Through strategic alignment with Canada Beef, we managed to achieve our goal of creating a strong value proposition for Canadian Beef and specifically our Butchers Block branded beef program. This was realized through Sysco’s leadership and commitment to professional development, the passion displayed by our many MA’s and DSM’s as well as industry partners such as Canada Beef, Cargill and our many customers
Canada Beef recently demonstrated the value of leveraging its resources by providing not only the venue but the required skills to strategically connect with our customers. The ability to inspire retailers and restaurateurs with profitable merchandising and innovative menu solutions is absolutely critical when developing signature products and branded beef programs. I certainly recommend collaborating with Canada Beef on how best to create the setting to make this happen.
