Team Koe gets their strength from sports, fans, and a good beef steak.
Team Koe is the reigning Brier champions having won the 2019 Canadian championship with an impressive 13-0 record. Skip Kevin Koe, third BJ Neufeld, second Colton Flasch and lead Ben Hebert would go on to capture silver for Canada at the World Championship in their first season together as a team.
The Calgary based foursome started their inaugural season together ranked third on the World Curling Tour and quickly ascended to the number one world ranking thanks to playoff finishes in every event, including gold medal performances at the World Cup of Curling representing Canada, the Alberta men’s championship and the Brier.
Koe along with Hebert, a 2010 Olympic gold medalist, have each won four Brier titles and two world championships throughout their impressive curling careers. Neufeld, a native of Manitoba, captured his first Brier win in front of a home crowd in Brandon last March. Neufeld and Flasch, a former Canadian junior curling champion, joined Koe and Hebert at the start of the 2018-2019 season.
