As March is Nutrition Month, that always gets us thinking of Beef’s leading role in a healthy diet: PROTEIN! Protein is a hot item these days, with everyone touting their protein benefits at the grocery store shelf — from granola bars to breakfast cereals .

But if you’re like me and you want to keep life as simple as possible, I look for the most basic of protein options – meat – red meat in particular. Beef’s a protein option that’s so basic that it doesn’t even have an ingredient list on pack – it’s just Beef – nothing added.
